Well I have been for the carvery on a number of occasions on a Sunday, and I would describe the experience as memorable.
Staff friendly polite and helpful. I would have no hesitation to recommend this restaurant to anyone, great place to dine and
catch up with friends and family. Please phone to reserve a table to avoid disappointment, we will be making another personal
appearance this Sunday.
As a matter of common courtesy please put your hand in your pocket and leave a decent tip for the staff, after digesting

Yeh.... Don't try slipping out the door leaving nothing , that's NOT standard procedure.
Went for a carvery on way back to london 13/5/18...we chose here as had vegan carvery option... it was very nice... the chef/ lady who was serving was very friendly and explained in detail which items were vegan . My parents enjoyed the meat version. Very attentive staff ..dog friendly and well spaced out seating. Maybe just a dairy free desert option would be a great addition to the menu..like a sorbet ;) we will be back soon!! :)
Went with family for a evning meal. The staff there are polite and attentive. A nice bright restaurant. Are orders came fairly quickly. The staff made sure to double check with one of our party since her dishes were vegan and gluten free. A good location on the main road with plenty of parking snd us also wheelchair accessible. Would go again.
Stopped for lunch here and what a fantastic find. Very dog friendly, there was a dog station with treats and water. Large free car park, with extra large spaces. Food was very tasty and good size portions. Great value for money, had the 2 course lunch with a coffee for under £15. The kids meal was also very reasonable. Staff were polite and friendly, comfy seating and clean toilets. Well run establishment worth a visit, no wonder it was full when we visited.
As we entered we were welcomed with a smile and a very helpful waitress. We had the Sunday carvery and the head chef served us generous portions of perfectly cooked meat. Everything was superb and all the staff were polite and friendly. Excellent customer service and fantastic food. Highly recommend.
Pen Mill is a great place to grab a drink and get some lovely food. It’s always busy here, which should be the first sign of how high quality it is.
They are dog fried I’ll which helps create an great atmosphere and way to interact with new people.
The food is just perfect, I’ve never had a bad meal here and it’s always been served quickly and with a smile as the staff are more than happy to help.
If you’re able to get a table outside you can see the view of the hill and enjoy the sun.
Definitely worth the visit if you’re passing or just need a drink.

Booked in for Sunday carvery.. absolutely brilliant :) food amazing, staff and services very friendly and helpful and the local penn mill cider is lush.. highly recommend
A well placed hotel with exceptional service. Very welcoming staff and a lovely place to stay? Nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to staying there again.

Only ever had food here. The food is excellent value for money, the staff are always friendly. They always manage to fit us in when we haven't booked a table.
Visited for a lunch with elderly aunt. Staff were fantastic, cheerful, friendly and efficient.
Food was just right ✅️ I had a salad that was possibly 2 meals in one and still eating while husband and aunt were on dessert 🍨
Didn't stay in hotel, so can't comment.
