From the minute we walked through the door the staff couldn't do enough for us they were friendly efficient and nothing was to much the food was excellent as well I would say this is the best place we have eaten in and me and the misses ae even considering going to stay in york fir the night again just to go to this place

Normally the Bengal is packed but on my last visit we managed to slip in. Everything was good and to an excellent standard. We have visited a number of times and its always consistently very good.

Really lovely place & the food is so nice! It gets very busy so if you know you’re going I’d book a table. Also it’s quite small so if you’re looking for intimate this isn’t it! X

This is the third time we have eaten at Bengal Brasserie in York, whilst visiting and would definitely go back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, Saf waited on our table and he was brilliant, really friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious and as we are from the Midlands, we know a good curry. Definitely recommend eating here, but I would book as it gets very busy. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Saf for making us feel very welcome.

This was my second visit to the Bengal Brasserie, my first time was a couple of years ago while I was visiting from my home in The Netherlands.
My first experience was amazing, the food was delicious and the service was great. Everyone was welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Naturally my friends and I wanted to go again for another meal, again my experience was the same. It is one of the best restaurants I have been to for Indian food. Thank you and I will definitely see you again 🙏🏼

Food was amazing, and the service was equally so. House service was great.
I had a chicken tikka madras with red rice, fries, garlic naan. Everything tasted fantastic. The chicken was soft, and plentiful. I was a nightmare customer, and ended up knocking my drink off the table (I know) and the staff were very nice about it.
If you’re looking for Indian food in York, then you cant go wrong here. Might want to call first as the restaurant is relatively modest in size, which I prefer, but York can get pretty busy. I got lucky.

Didn't have a booking but still made space for us. The meal was absolutely lovely! Only found this place via Google Maps. My wife had the healthy Chicken curry off the menu and I highly recommend this whether your looking for a healthy option or not. When we come back to York, we will definitely visit again.
