Double Dutch Pancake House

I was so excited to try out this place and it fully lived up to my expectations! The staff were so lovely and welcoming. Once I was seated I struggled sooooo much to decide what to order as the vegan options were sooooo vast, I was overwhelmed to have so much choice as a vegan PLUS they allow you to fully customise/ build your own toppings if you like so 🙈 I settled for one of the savory ones on the menu but switched out one of the ingredients which they were more than happy to do for me. It came pretty fast! The pancake itself was crepe style, so very thin and not super filling, but very tasty. The toppings were sooo generous and the flavours all went together very well. I was very tempted to order a sweet one after or come back again but ran out of time unfortunately! I will definitely be back again in future if I can. Do note that they add a 10% service charge on all orders, which is usually expected anyways but just a heads up.

Cute and quirky. Fantastic ranges both meat and vegan (the vegan menu is HUGE). Everything cooked very fresh to order. Service relaxed and friendly. Price reasonable but the pancakes are not terrifically filling so I would recommend a (lovely looking) dessert, which pushes the price up. Kids meal deal is brilliant, cute and very very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is in an old building kitted out in kitsch Dutch ornaments. Not a terrifically large amount of tables so expect to queue at peak times.

Ate here this morning as wanted to get some breakfast before ending our weekend in York. Pancakes were gorgeous, and loved the quirky decor! Staff were super kind and friendly, and everything was such a decent price. Particularly enjoyed my 'Biscoffee' which was possibly the best coffee I've ever had! Would definitely recommend!

If you walk past and there's no queue outside, run don't walk!! Even if there is a queue, it's definitely worth the wait. Gluten free and vegan pancakes are available. Even better, vegan milkshakes that taste as good as the dairy ones! The service is always lovely here and food is always prepared fresh. The rooms you can sit in are lovely and with quirky details too. Both savoury and sweet pancakes are tasty and well priced. Drinks are also nice and with a nice variety.

I love it here. I came for the first time a week ago and I have been back once already 🤣. The food is amazing really good portions and there is something for everyone. There are lots of vegan and gluten free options. The staff are so nice. One girl who is also gluten free helped me order something I would really like from her personal experience. She made me feel really welcome despite having extra dietary needs. Honestly I can't tell you enough how amazing this place is. Prepare yourself for a que outside as it's popular but don't worry it moves pretty quickly. The decorations are just so cute too!

Had a lovely brunch at the pancake house! Super friendly staff. There was a table available when we arrived and it was in a little private nook that was so cute. An amazing range of vegan options on the menu. I ordered a vegan apple and butterscotch pancake and it was so delicious. It even came with a little persimmon slice carved like a pumpkin! Thank you, would love to come again :)

This was my first time trying dutch pancakes, they were amazing! I love their savoury pancakes with cheese and all kinds of meat on top, i know it might offend somebody, but it kinda taste like pizza mixing with crepe to me, but in a very good way! Sweet pancakes are bangers too! They are all thin and a little bit crunchy around the rim, prefect for a light lunch! Love their milkshake too! Not too thick, just fits my taste!
