We ordered the calzone, risotto di mare, gnocchetti alla campidanese, and ravioli di carne rosalba. Food and service was excellent. The place/atmosphere made me think I was in Italy 🇮🇹 Price was also reasonable. We had such a nice experience that we decided to go there again the next night/our final
My beautiful wife and I visited Mama Mia's in August 2023 and what an absolute gem! An authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of York. The owners were very friendly, very accommodating and happy to recommend dishes.
We ordered a cheesy garlic bread pizza, the Ravioli flavoured with lobster sauce
Fantastic. The burrata cheese was so fresh my senses took me to Southern Italy. In my opinion the best Italian restaurant in York at the moment, just like I used to see n the 80's and 90's with that accompanying smell too from. The kitchen.

If I lived locally to York this would officially be my new favourite restaurant. The atmosphere felt like sitting in a little café on the streets of Italy and the food was authentic and delicious. The Lasagna Al Forno was the best I've ever had!
Had a wonderful birthday meal at Mamma Mia last night. The staff were always there as soon as you needed them and the food was excellent. They looked after my mother and we found a good place to hide her walking aid. Toilets were very clean. I really enjoyed my birthday surprise.
Mothers 70 Birthday. 10 of us including grand kids. Food was great. Service authentically italian/European. Friendly but professional no fluff just good service and left alone to enjoy meal

Cosy, traditional Italian restaurant on Gillygate. Had a really nice meal, the pizza was delicious and the tiramisu was divine. Service was relaxed but attentive and the restaurant had a nice lively atmosphere. Would definitely go again
Beautiful food, steak was amazing. Chicken Michelangelo very tasty. Service was a bit slow after the main course, but very friendly.
Just popped our head in here at 9pm off the cuff and although they were busy they had room for us.

Food was lovely , authentic Italian cuisine and authentic Italian portions, amazing deserts the kids were blown away and we all had a lovely meal .

Beautiful food, excellent service, relaxing ambiance. Ngl, we came for Nicols amazing authentic Italian cooking.. but all staff are super kind and friendly. Rafiella our waiter was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to! We will be back!
