Duke Of York - York - Photo album

One of the loveliest pubs in York, visit every time we're there without fail. We've had lunch and evening meal a couple times and it's always been amazing food. Service is incredible, lovely staff and really clean. Highly recommend the lunchtime menu with sandwiches and wraps, amazing food for such
Another proper pub in York that I have visited a few times although food can dominate. On a triangular space where street entertainers like to strut their stuff in front of mobs of tourists. Visited here on a Friday lunchtime. We ordered the halloumi wrap with roasted peppers, salsa, and baby gem lettuce but I asked for this as a sandwich which they did. Also ordered the chicken wrap with chips, and the steak and ale pie with vegetables, mashed potato, and gravy. You can order off the l

The ambiance was overall pleasant. Had the chicken liver and black pudding and the steak and ale pie. Good food.

Cracking lunch menu. The brie, bacon, cider chutney, gem lettuce and tomato sandwich with proper home made chips was brilliant. Well recommended.
We had an excellent pub meal and a couple of drinks. It was a lovely experience. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.
Superb experience a few weekends ago. We took our children and dog for Sunday roast. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d want for Sunday lunch, the food superb and despite it being so busy, the young waiter was faultless in his care and attention. I would give it 10* if I could!
