Found this place by accident while walking through York. Seems like a nice place to sit and drink but we were mainly here for the pizzas which were incredible. Lunchtime deal is excellent value for money and very filling. The pizzas are freshly made and fired and they use good quality ingredients on them. Really pleased to have stumbled across this place.

This place was so good that we went in both Friday and Saturday. Live music was great (Dave Keegan) but the pizza was even better.
Sampled a lot of beers but settled on the White Rat. Overall a great experience

We stopped in for a pint or two, but didn't eat. The beer was cold, the service was fast and friendly. The restaurant did provide a place in the front of the restaurant to relax while having a pint while the courtyard in the back, well lit, was reserved for those who wanted to eat. There was a large variety of beer to choose from.
Really nice pub with great beer and a nice vibe. Pizza they gave me to take home was stone cold though. It had been left out and ignored for a while.
Partner needed the loo,so had to pop in here,had to buy a drink,rude not to,and stayed til closing,super staff,artiste was a bit hit n miss,but,after a few drinks sounded good. Highly recommend going here
Great venue for a pint and pizza, superb decor inside, plenty of beers available. Fresh pizza available inside was as good as I've ever had
