It's the 1st pub I've visited that has a coffin downstairs that you can see. It's a fantastic historical pub that is a must goto for visitor to York. Will definitely be returning.
We ordered the sharing platter and it’s definitely a good deal. The basement is pretty cool. Very dungeon like and a coffin ⚰️ for Dick Turpin. Well worth a visit as one of the more interesting 🧐 pubs. …

What a lovely pub, very quaint & welcoming. The young girls working were polite friendly & very efficient. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Will return now I've found a lovely welcoming pub in the centre of York
Went there for a date. The food was great, the table was quite small, but alright I guess. We waited for someone to come over for a long time which they never did and in the end we had to really try to get the attention of one of the staff. …
