Traveling on business, discovered by chance, what a surprise. Quality burgers, excellent homemade sauce. Nice place, welcomed as you would always like when you enter a restaurant for the first time. My advice, go there
Burgers tasted so good. Just all about really great flavour combinations. We upgraded our fries to pulled pork topped and although was a lot we couldn’t help but finish it all. Good selection of drinks although nothing on tap. Staff very friendly and accommodating, it was quite quiet when we went which meant a slightly strange atmosphere but we were too busy enjoying the burgers to care too much!

Burgers were delicious and service was first class.
Ordered cocktails which arrived and tasted fabulous, few minutes later the waitress came back to apologise about one of the cocktails as she said she had mis-measured it and redid the drink. Totally felt above and beyond and we wouldn't have noticed tbh but the honesty and care for their customers was very impressive.

Small but perfectly formed restaurant, simple burger and chicken menu, one of the best Stilton burger I have had. And polite and friendly staff.

Superb burger in a lovely setting. Really great service. We sat in the ‘back’ part of the restaurant and had a great view of the food being prepared. Very tasty!
I spent a good 40 minutes looking at places to eat in York my first evening. There is no shortage for sure. I possibly chose this more out of desperation but also on affordability.
I had a warm welcome and without a reservation was able to be seated, (it seems booking might be advisable as all other patrons after me had pre booked).
I ordered a pulled pork burger with coleslaw skinny fries and added the honey mustard dipping sauce. It was very flavoursome and a large burger with plenty of fries. One of the best pulled pork burgers I've eaten.
Service was attentive but non intrusive.
As a lone diner I appreciated no loud music just the gentle chatter of other customers this allowed me to read whilst I ate.

Outstanding food and really nice restaurant with a great story. Everything is sourced locally, and the food was high quality. I got the Butch Cassidy with the pulled pork fries, and I was quite impressed. The burger was perfectly juicy, the pulled pork was tender, and their homemade sauce was the perfect blend of sweet and smoke. Would absolutely recommend if you're a fan of good pulled pork, a great burger, or both.
An excellent experience all round. Very good quality burgers, cooked to perfection. Their homemade ketchup is delicious... I'd buy it in bottles if I could!
Couldn't fault food. Staff extremely polite. Fairly quiet Thursday evening 1945. Would visit again. No draught beer. Offers bottles in all aspects larger, cider and wine. Plus plenty of non alcoholic variants
