The owner is passionate about people and food. I admired her graceful description of food to a seemingly annoying customer. Made me curious so I ordered what she described and that was one of the best breakfasts I had. It was a croissant with amazing french style goat cheese, pistachio homemade jam and blueberry molasses. We also got Greek/turkish coffee, which was great!

Incredible place with the most magical and lively cakes and impeccable service. An oasis of peace and calm very carefully created by the lovely lady who served us and spoke with us about Greek food. The rosebud tea was out of this world. Again, such attention to details and care for customers is what make the difference between ordinary and extraordinary. Thank you!

Discovered Oleria by chance after a long walk in York in mid-April. Most places were closed, and the smell of fresh baklava hit me... I asked the owner if it's still open, and she was kind enough to let us in to get a variety of baklava for takeaway. No matter what people say about prices, they do reflect the reality, and I have never had anywhere baklava so tasty in England and it was worth every penny. I do advise everyone that they are sweet enough as well and a bit is more than enough if you are looking for an indulgement. Quality NOT quantity ... this is what people need to be reminded of, and it is a tendency to forget nowadays... small businesses need to survive, and the quality of products is beyond measure .. they are being done with care and attention, not like for Costco, where baklavas are done in a factory in large quantities for a whole country.. remember that. I will always support such businesses because I appreciate to my core the quality of everything in life! Thank you, Oleria, for an experience not easily forgotten x
