Daughter Cafe

Really nice, place to eat or enjoy a coffee. The decor is simple and clean, and the staff are friendly and polite. It can be tricky to get a table on weekends, but I guess that speaks to the quality of their food and drink. My only complaint is that their breakfast dishes generally don't fill me up. Daughter is far from the cheapest cafe in town, so I can't help feeling like they could increase their portion sizes to provide better value for money. Still, if all you're after is a coffee and a slice of tasty cake, then you're bound to come away satisfied. Well worth a visit.

Found this Cafe for the First time it wont be the last.An amazing menu the cake I had was beautiful and moist what a lovely place.I wouldnt hesitate to go for lunch whenever I'm in York everything looked and sounded so healthy Read the card about the family its lovely .We found it because we had parked at the outlet and got of the service bus at the Dungeons and it's just about next door to it try it I'm sure you will like it x

Nice clean, bright cafe in York - we popped in for a quick drink on a recent visit. It was closing fifteen minutes later - the team were kind enough to let us come in. Child friendly with toys available and the food options looked nice from the descriptions on the menu board and the cakes on the counter.

I love this place! The decor is gorgeous, the team are lovely and the food is delicious. The quality of the produce is really high, with locally sourced bread, homemade cakes and tray bakes. We took our young daughter and it was great to have space to leave the pram. They also had a toy bag, which was fab! Although there is not a specific children's menu as of yet, there are so many child friendly food options. Our daughter loved her scrambled egg on toast! We finished of our lovely lunch with delicious coffee and cake! If you enjoy good food and coffee, gorgeous decor and tasty cakes you need to get yourself to Daughter! We will most definitely be back.
