Nice clean, bright cafe in York - we popped in for a quick drink on a recent visit. It was closing fifteen minutes later - the team were kind enough to let us come in. Child friendly with toys available and the food options looked nice from the descriptions on the menu board and the cakes on the counter.
A really cool place. Suited to everyone, my daughter and I came...seem fitting...for a quiet cuppa and bite to eat. My 15 yr old said it's really "tumblr". Food was fresh and really delicious. Lovely tea too. D had an iced coffee and rocky road. She really enjoyed them. Great for young children too. They have high chairs and a toy basket. Will come back with the rest of the family.
Found this Cafe for the First time it wont be the last.An amazing menu the cake I had was beautiful and moist what a lovely place.I wouldnt hesitate to go for lunch whenever I'm in York everything looked and sounded so healthy Read the card about the family its lovely .We found it because we had parked at the outlet and got of the service bus at the Dungeons and it's just about next door to it try it I'm sure you will like it x

Really nice, place to eat or enjoy a coffee. The decor is simple and clean, and the staff are friendly and polite. It can be tricky to get a table on weekends, but I guess that speaks to the quality of their food and drink.
My only complaint is that their breakfast dishes generally don't fill me up. Daughter is far from the cheapest cafe in town, so I can't help feeling like they could increase their portion sizes to provide better value for money.
Still, if all you're after is a coffee and a slice of tasty cake, then you're bound to come away satisfied. Well worth a visit.
I love this place! The decor is gorgeous, the team are lovely and the food is delicious. The quality of the produce is really high, with locally sourced bread, homemade cakes and tray bakes.
We took our young daughter and it was great to have space to leave the pram. They also had a toy bag, which was fab! Although there is not a specific children's menu as of yet, there are so many child friendly food options. Our daughter loved her scrambled egg on toast!
We finished of our lovely lunch with delicious coffee and cake!
If you enjoy good food and coffee, gorgeous decor and tasty cakes you need to get yourself to Daughter!

Called in on Sunday, whilst visiting my son. Our food was delicious, the coffees lovely, add to that the pleasant surroundings and friendly staff .....a winner in our eyes. A table in the window is great for people watching too!! Will definitely visit again.
Lovely cafe with a fantastic atmosphere to sit and enjoy a delicious drink and bite to eat. Got cake to take away and my toddler highly rated the malteaser slice. This is my new favourite spot in York. I shall be back soon.
Absolutely superb ! I had the best avocado sandwich with whipped feta. Mega coffee as well. Spotlessly clean, lovely service, and I had a chat with the owner who was just totally charming. I would definitely recommend.
Very friendly café, fantastic 'to die for' banana cake. Placed just opposite the York Dungeon, it is so convenient. What is there not to love about this place? You can enjoy a nice welcome and great food whilst you wait for your turn at the York Dungeon, or do as we did, and go back there afterwards for more. Hard to fault and our party of four, including two grand-children, highly recommend a visit.
