Our FAVOURITE lunch venue when in York. Delicious paninis, salads and cakes. Enjoyed a delicious tuna panini with 3 salads. Took a cake away for later. Everything on the menu is yummy!

Pretty decent service, atmosphere and ambiance a little hard to call as we sat outside. You are able to sit indoors however, who doesn’t like a little people watching?
Coffee was pretty good, cake was excellent however the croissant was dry, small and overpriced. Such a pity ad everything else was spot on!

We arrived in York a bit early and managed to pass the time with a breakfast. The two very young servers were attentive and eager to help, while the manager seemed a bit flustered. The breakfast itself was excellent, incredibly delicious. Our dogs were also warmly welcomed.

Good location in the heart of York and friendly service with a smile. Lovely.
I only had a coffee and a mid morning bacon buttie and didn't venture inside as table service is provided out on the square, which is where I sat. Weather was perfect which always helps!
Coffee was good, a cappuccino, but the sandwich was a little lacking. Served in a thick cut bread with mushrooms and tomatoes, it tasted fine but the presentation was poor. Stuck on a white plate, cut in half and looking a little forlorn. There was no depth to the filling that felt lost in the thick bread. The process of eating starts with what you are presented with and this was a bit of a fail, I'm afraid.
I would return as the location is great although I have noticed on other visits to York that it can get very busy. Service was good apart from being asked if I'd like a gratuity to be added to the bill when I paid by card! (Possible can of worms opened there but that was my feeling when asked).
Good menu size and choice, prices seem okay for centre city eating and by and large a good place to try out.

We stumbled upon this little cafe whilst looking for a latish light lunch, attracted by the very colourful bowls of exotic salad in the window. It was a bit nippy outside though, so salad wasn't really what we fancied.
Once inside, we settled for something simple and warming..soup. Both the vegetable and meat-based soups were excellent, full of flavour, as were the hunks of bread that accompanied them. Service was very good, little waiting, lots of smiles.
Can't ask for more really. Next time we are in town we'll make the effort to have something more substantial.

Stopped off for breakfast twice, there are a few of these dotted around town. The breakfast was lovely, piping hot and lovely tea. Didn't realise the place was so big but we were on ground floor. Lots of lovely staff so service was fab. Would definitely recommend for a breakfast stop.

Only stayed for a drink which I accidentally knocked over. Michelle was so lovely and got me another free of charge. Nice atmosphere and staff. 4 stars for the slightly dated look. Would come again :-)
