Amazing staff, food was equally as awesome. Highly recommended. Will be leaving a review on trip advisor too. Well worth a visit. Oh, try the slow roasted beef rib! It's to die for

Great bar with a friendly barman nothing was too much trouble. My pint of Guinness was lovely and if it wasn't for the fact I was on a pub crawl I could of sat and drank a few more in there. Top pub

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with an old school design echoing the atmosphere of York itself! The bar is well-presented, also continuing this with the barrels and staff were friendly. Irish cider has availability on tap which is great and I sat on leather seating, cleanliness maintained too!

Stayed over Halloween weekend, it's a lot bigger then it looks from the outside. Bar was busy and we ordered the 5 tapas, after waiting a while we asked the lady at the bar (cassie) and she went out of her way to get us a replacement and very kindly brought us a drink whilst we waited for food. When food finally came it was really nice and spicy. Thanks again to cassie.

Visited O'Neils whilst on an Easter break to York with my husband and two children. We popped in for lunch on Good Friday after visiting the Railway Museum. We found a table straight away and chose to order via the app as the bar was quite busy. We ordered drinks and food and the process was really efficient. We swapped tables shortly after ordering as a table had become available in the window and we wanted to take advantage of the sunshine. There were also plug sockets there where we were able to charge our phones whilst having lunch. Ww told our server that we had moved tables when he brought our drinks over and he amended our order so our food would come straight to the correct table. We ordered 2 children's meals which were absolutely excellent value for money. We also had a ham and cheese panini and chips. All food came out quickly and was piping hot. Overall a really pleasant afternoon and good value for money.

Love this bar. Always a warm welcome. And it's nice and tostie when it's cold outside. Never eaten here, but it looks great.

Great pub, had some good drinks in here previously. On this occasion we were looking for a pub lunch and decided to give this a try as I vaguely remembered eating here before. So on this occasion between the three of us we had burgers and fries and fish and chips. The food has a home cooked feel to it and the portions are just the right size. The food is of good quality and didn't take too long to be served up. It's in a relaxed pub environment, at least through the lunch time I was there, with sports on the many TVs. The toilets are in the basement down some tight stairs so if mobility is an issue you should be aware of this. Not sure if they have a toilet for this purpose on the ground floor. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Absolutely love eating in O'Neils York , I often visit with my children (fussy eaters) I'm always left at ease with the lengths the chef goes to accommodate our food orders, We are never disappointed! The foods always delicious, staff are friendly and welcoming . Would highly recommend.
