A good, traditional English pub. Good beers and lager. A nice, friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed it and the next time we're in York we'll definitely be in there again.
A free house pub hidden away among terraced streets The Slip Inn is a lovely old school boozer and worth seeking if you like independent pubs which serve local beers and ales.
Extended pub with some nice original fittings and decent range of ales on tap. Garden bar opens for beer festival 18 & 19th June 2022. Locals are friendly and good atmosphere in bar and garden.
One of a triumvirate of pubs just outside the walls, away from the madding crowds and tourist prices. Excellent range of beers.
Delightful, airy "proper" pub w good range of beers, ciders and other drinks, quirky sitting areas (incl a rear yard), many charming features and ....... a proper barista.
Doesn't serve food (because it is a proper pub not a kaffy) but there are plenty of eating places nearby. Paired w another delightful pXk (pub not kaffy) ..... the Swan 100yds away.
Great local pub close to the caravan/motorhome site. Good choice of beer and friendly staff
Love this pub. Went twice while at the adjacent campervan site. Brilliant traditional pub in a pleasant residential area. Excellent choice of beers. Traditionally decorated with a garden area at the back. Great choice of beers. Had a laugh with the locals and the barmaid was welcoming and funny
Great little traditional pub, good selection of beers and lagers, good for sport, beer garden and really friendly staff, proper pub 😀
Wonderful somewhat off the beaten track pub owned by the same people as the Swan (I hear). They usually have a good selection of cask and keg beers. Nice set up with several seating areas and a nice garden. A real pleasure to visit.
Nice little back street boozer. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. If I am ever in the area again I will pay it another visit.
