New place on the ground floor of hotel indigo, clean and quiet place to eat. Stuff are friendly and helpful. Menu is simple but have good choices. I had hamhock for starter, it was pretty good, my risotto was good too but a bit salty for me. We were curious about the wagyu burger, we'd like medium usually, but it was a little bit overcooked. It is not on the cheap side for a place like this, but overall it worth to try
This is the restaurant in the Hotel Indigo. As Indigo restaurants go, I would rank this one below Chester and Liverpool, but above Manchester and far, far above Glasgow. Bright and airy premises, this is mainly laid out for dining, so there isn’t a massive amount of bar seating, but what they have works. The bar is well run and sells a couple of draft lagers – nothing too exciting though, just Heineken and Amstel. The food menu is quite limited, mainly a pizza menu – used to do more in the past but I expect suffers a bit due to location – hard to compete with the plethora of offerings on Walmgate. Breakfast in the morning here is excellent – a full slate of cooked offerings are available, alongside a heaving breakfast table of pastries and other items. Operating the juice was complicated, but I got there in the end. The full Yorkshire breakfast was excellent – bonus marks for the big wedge of black pudding. Nice. Might be nicer if the lighting was dimmed a little in the evenings and if there was a bit more soft seating for drinks in the bar, but otherwise a decent venue if you’re staying in the hotel.
Just called in for drinks. Relaxing environment, good service
