Absolutely loved it! By far the best Jalfrezi I've had. It tasted so flavoursome and so FRESH! Would definitely recommend.

Delicious food in a relaxed setting with warm and corteous service. I stumbled upon this place because I stayed at an Airbnb in a residential area and you can tell it’s frequented exclusively by knowing locals. Everything was tasty but the onion bhajis were simply the best I’ve ever had. Memorable! Finally, Nasrul (Alex) was very kind and personable and made us feel right at home.
What a fantastic find. We were stuck finding halal food and decent parking in the centre of York. The restaurant is located on the outskirts of York city centre and there is off road parking. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the waiting staff were very quick efficient and friendly. Shout out to Mr Nazrul and his team.

We've been using this place for 20 years + (gosh, I'm only 40, but that sounds ancient)! Anyway, it's THAT GOOD. Aesthetically it's not much of a looker admittedly, and the location isn't great, but it's one of those hidden gems. Authentic dishes, cooked spot on EVERY time and always great value too. Furthermore the front of house staff are nothing short of superb - such manners and attention to detail. They put many to shame! We travel approx 4-5 times a year to dine here, and it's approx 35-40 miles from home.... Purely because it's worth it. There's curry and there's curry, and having eaten at maybe what - 50 or more Indian restaurants in my time - not one has rivalled this place for taste. And isn't that the main reason to go?! Enjoy.
Excellent Indian restaurant a cut above the usual standard with reasonable prices. Tandoori chicken was best I've had in years - really juicy and flavoursome. Come here every year and standard is always good. Friendly and welcoming staff. Recommend
We used to eat at York Tandoori when we were students at York, St John’s 29 years ago. We returned with our 3 sons in tow and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent and the staff still as welcoming. Looking forward to another meal there already!
probably the best Indian in York, the food is exceptional, never had a bad meal in over a year of using them,
the quantity of the servings is more than enough.
delivery has always been fast, and with great service & friendly staff, I now use their own App which works out cheaper than the "Other" App

As part of a monthly curry club we have been to every curry house in York, as a complete package (quality, price, service and location) none can beat York tandoori. Mushroom rice, king prawn puri, cheese and onion naan and a garlic chilli lamb curry - £20. Superb.
Man who greeted us was lovely and service was prompt. Atmosphere was relaxed and chilled and me and my partner enjoyed this on our first trip to York. Good prices, would recommend!
