Nice cinema. It's a grown up place with good food and drink options and not a trashy empty multiplex place. Don't waste your money on a poor substitute when a bit more gives you the genuine article.

It always has a great feel. I like the face you feel like your in a club, private and limited. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Bar is cozy and views great.

Visited here for brunch on Sunday. Hadn't been here for quite some time, but would highly recommend. The views along the river from the Terrace are quite something. Friendly and helpful service, and the food was extremely good too. Chose the granola with Greek yoghurt that was extremely tasty, and it also included a few pumpkin seeds, blueberries, raspberries and mint leaves that heightened the taste.

I’ve loved this place for many years. Super lovely views through the all glass facade across the river :) comfy couches and a moderate selection of ok food. Good place to chill and work or read for hours on end. This has got to be the nicest cafe in York. I’ve spent many hours of my life there, reading, meeting friends, eating, having a drink before a movie… if you’re not into pitcher and piano or vodka revs vibes, this place is for you. It has a magic veil over it like Hogwarts.
