This place has undergone a transformation. Gone are the rude, complacent former bosses and what has replaced them are a fantastic range of new beers and wines, excellent tapas food, a lively atmosphere encouraging new visitors and old stalwarts alike and friendly staff making a huge effort.

Had a lovely afternoon today at the Inn on the green! We used to be regulars at one time but over the years the standards went down after a few different changes in landlords/ladies. The last time we came in before it shut the bar woman was exceptionally rude so we stopped going in. We are so pleased it's now been given a makeover & the new owners & staff are so lovely. As soon as we went in today we were looked after. The very friendly barman was so helpful & cheerful. We ordered from the small plates menu, I had the haddock chowder & my hubby had the lamb koftas, we both had a portion of fries. The chowder was fresh, homemade & was so delicious, it came with a piece of bread & butter too. Hubby was really pleased with the koftas, he said they were very tasty. There is a lovely choice of tapas style food served here & we will definitely come again. They are very dog friendly & our dog was very happy with his treat, he will definitely take us here again when we are passing on our walks! It got really busy late afternoon & had a really nice atmosphere, we will look forward to coming again & supporting our local once again. Good luck with your new venture 👍

Different from usual pub fare, Spanish style mainly. Good food, tasty, with fast friendly service. Need a bit of work on portion size, small for pub meals.

Couldn't believe the cocktail range and value. A cosmopolitan menu in a locals setting. The food menu looked good so somewhere we will definitely be returning to again when in York

Needed a quick meal, came here and we had the sloppys burgers, mac and cheese and dirty fries, was out of this world, defo recommend, very reasonable and so bloody tasty, fabulous quality. The best food we have had in a long time

Just back from trying my new local pub for the first time.
Really great well kept ale and freshly cooked food which was very tastey and good value.
Fabulous freshly made real chips...always a treat.
We had the beef and ale pie and the haddock and chips....both really good.
