This venue in York has a great atmosphere, with a variety of seating areas, and happy, friendly staff. It's mainly a bar, but does serve interesting toasties. It's sweet that they also have water available for self-service, plus cute containers with both white and brown sugar cubes!
Came to Micklegate and was incredibly impressed by everyone in particular this gentleman named Luke who has to be top 50 cocktail bartenders in the UK for me! Sean made the next round of cocktails and it seems high standards is a discipline at Micklegate Social
I do like it, and it's good....but sorry, for me Fossgate Social has it.....but I have to confess it's only 200m from my apartment.....and I can wave to my partner in our lounge to come down....Micklegate Social is still a cracker though 👍👍👍
First time I have visited this place. Nice pint of Verdant Light Bulb. 2nd visit still giving it 5 stars . Excellent window seat watching the world go by. Cannot remember what my pint was , probably some hazy IPA
Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff were really friendly. Not a huge selection of food, mainly toasties and a few sweet treats but delicious and perfect if your looking for something small! Great selection of drinks, lots of gins and the cocktails looked amazing.
Brilliant cocktails! Pricey, but very good and table service
Popped in for a quick cuppa before work. It's a lovely comfy place with plenty of seating areas. A few tables outside so if it's sunny it's ideal. It's a clean and welcoming environment and the toilets are clean ( always a bonus 😂 ) staff are really friendly and was served by Meg and later Katie who both you can have a laugh with and follow all covid guidelines. it has a a couple toasties to choose from, really yummy, and a few sweet treats like brownies etc.. They also do a selection of beers and have plenty of spirits on show and the cocktails/ mocktails look amazing. So if in the area pop in and give them a try ☺️
We visited this place for breakfast and had salmon with scrambled eggs and avocado on toast and pancakes with egg, mushrooms and maple syrup. We were very pleased with our food but found the prices a bit high considering the size of the dishes. Overall a very good experience and we recommend it for a chilled, comfy breakfast/brunch/coffee.
Nice bar with a good selection of interesting beer. Only stayed for a pint with some friends. One had coeliac and found a gluten free beer (a good one, not just a bottle of peroni like in most pubs). Others had interesting GnTs they both enjoyed. Payed £23 for the 4 drinks.
Great live dj set, good selection of small batch brewery beers
