Me and 7 family member had a meal. All meals were served at same time and everyone enjoyed their meal. We have been twice for a meal last time there were 12 of us. Would certainly go for another meal.

I was at a funeral. The buffet was very mixed, so should suit all tastes.

We were a table of 10 and the patrons and staff were fantastic, putting up with our "chatting". Family get together after a few years apart. We stayed in the lodge behind the hotel for 2 nights. What a hidden gem. Huge room - great bath - very hot water and a fabulous comfortable bed. The food in the Tavern is delicious. Pity only NZ Sav Blanc though😢. Well done to everyone. We'll certainly be back👏👏👏

The food at the carlton is superb more then the usual pub type of pub grub excellent and fast service no waiting around to eat..the staff or all very helpful and friendly..would definitely recommend 10/10

Highly recommend for a Sunday lunch. The staff are attentive and very welcoming. The food was perfect. Our first visit but we will return on our next visit from Durham 😊

Myself,derst and our andz just popped in for a pint after work Friday afternoon as ya do🙂. Lovely beer garden polite staff. Could of stayed for a skin full but life doesn't permit these days. No sign of our Stevie bee tho so that's why only 4 stars.😄
