Had the best ever mocha at this little gem. It had five layers of pure delight! The waiter on hand (Monday 24th July) was very good. Service was excellent. The mocha was so good that I had to try the food. And that was delicious too. Head to this place when you're in York!

We had a wonderful seafood lunch today, made all the more wonderful by the friendly, knowledgeable and very kind gentleman who served our table.
The food was tasty and very well presented, the specials menu was classic but inventive; one of those places that manages to take canon flavour combinations and successfully twist them just enough to make them feel fresh and intriguing but still unpretentious. Just what my Italian family were craving.
While the food was interesting and well executed, the real star was the service; friendly and absolutely impeccable. It was honestly a joy to watch someone do their job so well, seemingly so effortlessly.
We also had extra accessibility needs - our family member is a wheelchair user - and all the staff were immediately warm, welcoming and made us feel at ease right away. After days of awkward restaurant experiences (where often staff didn't know how to treat or behave around someone with a disability) being treated with dignity and kindness at Sapori was so refreshing and made all the difference.
It's not easy to find somewhere that makes you feel at home and special at the same time! Thank you for making our last day in York so memorable. I hope to come back again when I'm next in town and I'll be recommending you to local friends too. Special thanks to the gentleman who was looking after us so well.

Lovely staff! The food is around 4/5 stars though. Seafood linguine was cooked with too much tomato sauce. However, the lamb and desserts were lovely!

Beautiful Italian restaurant with the delicious food and friendly atmosphere. Based in the heart of the Shambles in York is a must stop. We had breakfast there and all was delicious. Best espresso coffee I ever had in England 🇬🇧.

The best Italian restaurant in York👌Food are cooked and served to perfection. Staffs are kind, very friendly and happy people. Would definitely recommend for both locals and tourists. A must try Sardegna food and drinks.

Amazing location at the Shambles, brilliant starters and desserts, however we were slightly let down by the mains but the lovely staff took care of that.

Ordered Cannibal pizza, Boscaiola pasta, and Risotto Shark.
All menus were tasty and came out quite quick. Their service was great as well! Highly recommend this place :)

Nice restaurant in the shambles. Very small seating area downstairs although there is a upstairs seating area.
Staff were very polite and attentive.
Food was very good and arrived at our table in good time.
The desserts were some of the best we have had, the portion size was larger than many other restaurants.
5 mains desserts and a bottle of wine plus a few extra drinks £130, really great value for the money.
