The Kitchen Restaurant

I love this restaurant! The food is so GOOD! I had the fish and shrimp on a recommendation from the waiter and it was delicious!!! The fish was tender, flaky, juicy and tasty, loved the sauce. It came with really good mash potatoes (w/ gravy) and corn. Next day I got the fried chicken, which was also really good - juicy on the inside and just right crispy on the outside. The third day I had the fish again, and it was just as good as the first day. Definitely recommend this restaurant, I am just sorry that I did not take any pictures.

My wife and I went to The Kitchen approximately 4:30 p.m. on a Saturday. We were practically the only patrons in the restaurant. The young man who seated us and was our waiter was exceedingly helpful and friendly. My wife had the french toast which she said was quite good. I had the ham and cheese omelet which was also very good. Overall our experience was pleasant and we will return.

Last Sunday the Kitchen was so horrifically understaffed that the 14-year old manager had the lone waitress telling customers that they were closed two hours before listed closing. Aside from an hour and fifteen minute wait for our food, it was a decent dining experience. We were rewarded for our patience; the food was tasty, visually appealing, and hot. Our waitress was properly apologetic for the weird teenage kitchen staff antics that kept inappropriately spilling into the dining area. I'll bet this place is tops when they have proper supervision.

Super sweet hostess / waitress. I had been wanting a salad, so that's what I got, and it was exactly what I expected, large and good fresh lettuce. Some kind of Nebraska salad dressing that was pretty good, too. (Dorothy something...) Reasonable prices, I thought. Way better than fast food, and didn't take terribly long!

Our visit started out rocky (inattentive waitress) but was saved by a simply wonderful waitress who noticed. The chicken fried steak, hash browns and french toast we give 2 thumbs up. The hash browns were crispy as was the chicken fried steak. There were fresh flowers in the very clean women's bathroom.
