Very creative Wizard themed escape room, the puzzles were well thought out and very satisfying to complete. Great for couples and family's alike. Highly reccommend.

Great little coffee shop/ relaxed friendly eatery with some gluten free options (carrot cake available when we were there for cake lovers).
Escape room in basement a surprise and fun feature. Escape room took about 1hr being bookable online and at the serving counter for same day slots. Follows the wizardry theme that is fairly common in York due to the connection of shambles with Harry Potter. Team look after you and provide hints if you get stuck.
Great option for groups or couples (we did it on a two).
Hung around outside and enjoyed a quality coffee (cappuccino) and took on the atmosphere.
Good wee find and recommended.

Harry Potter Themed Escape Room:
Very fun variety of puzzles which had the right balance of difficulty (challenging without feeling impossible). Feeling happy that we completed it with only two people; thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Great escape room, we loved the wizard theme and the children (9 & 10) got really involved with the problem solving. Great attention to detail, would definitely recommend!

We called in today to get away from the crowded York streets - never been in before and didn’t even know it was there. Made very welcome by the staff and had a window seat watching the world go by. I had a coffee and a Diet Coke and my wife had two halves of lager. Plenty of couples came in and ordered a mix of alcohol and hit drinks. Coffee was lovely too coupled with an absolutely belting mid 80’s to mid 90’s soundtrack playing in the background at the appropriate level made for a good break from the heaving crowds. Definitely go back next time in York - dog friendly too.

Nice little cafe, has some nice big tables for doing homework. Free wifi. Staff are very friendly and nice. Toilets are downstairs, seperate male/female logos. There is a wizard themed escape room here, and is very fun for beginners!

Fab little café, with lots of breakfast choice till 3. Even better that they serve cocktails 🍹 but resisted those today. Lovely, friendly atmosphere and great value too. Probably the best eggs Benedict I have ever tasted too
