Called in on a Wednesday could not be more impressed. Nick the owner was a real star not to mention the amazing mushroom starter and flame grilled lamb jobs. Well worth a visit 5 star

Had a fab takeaway from here tonight. So nice to find something different to try and it was yummy! Yes its a bit of a wait but they all are on a Saturday night - but well worth it and the food arrived hot. Yes it seems expensive but portions were large - we were stuffed!! We will order again - thank you for lovely food.

I was looking to have my dinner on last weekend. Hard to find in York (centre) without a reservation. Glad to find TheFork application that helped me book a table at Taverna Yamas. The staff welcomed us with a complimentary starter and they were great at serving the meal which was delicious, enormous and a great deal for the money (TheFork gave us 20% discount when booking with them). I will return when I will be around.

Had a delicious meal here recently! Everything was really tasty and reasonably priced (except for the tzatziki which I think is a little over priced for the portion). We had the sesame feta, courgette fritters and tzatziki for starter. And lamb chops for mains. Fantastic service too! Will definitely be returning!!
