If you love steak then this is where you will find the best. We went early afternoon without booking. It was busy but not crowded. Staff were brilliant. They do an early bird menu for 2 or 3 courses at a set price which is what we had. Some items were a little pricey but I can assure you, it was worth it

Cannot fault this place, steak was out of this world and cooked to perfection, atmosphere and decor was lovely and the price wasn't actually too bad either. Tom who served us was attentive and very friendly. If your going to York do yourself a favour and treat yourself here you won't be disappointed.

This place is absolutely incredible! It is an expensive place, but can’t knock the quality of food, so totally worth it! I can’t emphasize enough how much this is worth the money!! The steak is to die for, amazing cuts of meat, so delicious and tender. The sides are also delicious and their is a wide range of food to choose from. The sticky toffee pudding with biscoff ice cream was the best I have ever had. Cocktails are lovely, great choice of drinks and wine!! Lovely, romantic setting with great staff too! 10/10 highly recommend

Amazing food, amazing deals. We had the 3 courses for 25 and 2 cocktails for 12. I had nachos to start and husband had parmo croquettas, then i had the 8oz steak with stilton & bacon sauce, husband had the same with BBQ, a side of Mac & Cheese, hash brown brisket & cheddar and dessert Bailey's creme brulee and chocolate fudge cake everything was amazing. I was especially impressed with the nachos as my husband is fussy with the toppings and I've never been anywhere that presents them separately, amazing.

We visited on a busy bank holiday Saturday. Despite this, the staff were amazingly friendly and very prompt. We had great polite service and amazing food. We ordered the Tomahawk and 4 sides and it was gorgeous. We weren't quite prepared for the level of spice on all the dishes, this caught my fiancé off guard a little but I was a happy man. The portion size was just perfect for two to share! (Even if I did want more steak). The cherry on the top was when presented with the bill we were told the service charge was optional, which I knew, but this is the first place to ever point that out and I really liked that! Needless to say we paid it as we were very happy customers.
