Gorgeous tea rooms in a perfect location behind the Minster. We had a baby shower afternoon tea for a small group of us, and were looked after so well! We had the side room to ourselves, which was lovely, and the homemade cakes were all delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the cakes!

We went here today for afternoon tea for 2, sat in the window looking out onto the minster. Great little tea shop, all the vintage style plates and teacups which i think makes an afternoon tea! Food was lovely, staff were lovely and made our anniversary trip out even better

Cosy little teashop in the heart of the old city, with a stunning view of York Minster from the shop. Cream tea was excellent, but be sure to order in advance. The owner and staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Worth a visit for anyone looking for a unique tea experience

Super cute. Came in for a hot chocolate and cakes both of which were delish, plenty of cakes that look homemade. The decor is rather quirky! I’d recommend. It’s also in a really cute location!

Quaint and cozy. Neatly decorated, using true vintage and antique pieces throughout the shop. Great hospitality by owners running this cute place. Daily baked scones were delicious. Located at a not so busy place in town, overlooking the back of the minster added a relaxing feeling. Lined up along other similar shops, plaza like feel vibe in the part of town, an added bonus.

We had an amazing time at the Vintage Rose a few weekends ago. As maid of honour I arranged for 14 of us to visit for afternoon tea on a Saturday afternoon as part of my friends hen party. The communication with the owner throughout was great and we were even allowed to come a few hours earlier to decorate and put up bride-related decorations and balloons. We had the whole inside of the cafe to ourself. The selection of sandwiches (including vegetarian) and sweet treats included in the afternoon tea were great and there was plenty for all of us. It was very reasonably priced and the vintage rose couldn’t have been more accommodating to us on our visit. The interior of this place is beautiful as well! Thank you for a great day 🥰

Lovely sundries and drinks, doing takeout here at the moment can't wait to come back when tables and chairs are back out as its such a lovely, peaceful place to sit in the mews at the side of York Minster.

What a gem this place is! This small cafe has a perfect view of the Minster, and a really cozy interior for those cold days, too. Coffees are expertly-made and the cakes are delicious. We had a little mishap with the wrong cakes arriving - but it was so quickly rectified and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to visit again soon!
