First, a perfectly cooked tomahawk steak for two. Then we had the roasted garlic and chive mashed potatoes which were surprisingly amazing with the creamed cabbage and crispy smoked pancetta. With a week picked tempranillo reservations in the glass it was as good as it gets. On my way back from the toilet I looked to look at the fire in the open kitchen when I was invited to come closer to look. I then had a nice conversation with the chef about how they cook the meat. They didn't have to do it, but they were very open and friendly. Take service was good as well. Overall we couldn't have asked for more and it was so much better than some other, more recent experiences.

Brillant service, both waiters had a good sense of humour and character. Food came quickly, great pricing for quality produce. The nicest restaurant we came across in a long weekend stay at Aberdeen. Highly recommend!

Ate here for the first time with a large group of colleagues and have to say that I was equally impressed with the food and the waiting staff. Let's start with the food. I had a ribeye steak and it was coked exactly to my liking. Perfectly seasoned and although I had a side of peppercorn sauce, the meat easily stood on its own. We had a variety of sides that complimented the meat but there was no doubt that the steak was the star of the show. I had scallops to start and again these were perfectly cooked. Just a quick word about the staff. This was a large table (two tables really) and they were super efficient and clearly knew what they were doing. They were friendly and attentive without being overbearing (my restaurant pet peeve) and worked hard throughout the evening. The restaurant was busy in general but you never felt that the staff were rushed. Although there were some vegetarian options, it is probably best avoided if you don't eat meat. If you are carnivorous then this place should sate.
