Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant

If you don't like guacamole, don't read this review. Unlike most Mexican Restaurants, our order didn't appear 30 seconds after we placed the order. It didn't take long, but with other Mexican restaurants the food arrives so fast, I feel like there's an assembly line in the back where the pre-cooked food is plated from the heat light warmed bins, and that's what the food looks like. Don't get me wrong, I usually like the food, even when it arrives too fast to have been cooked to order. Anyway, back to this restaurant. Complementary chips and hot sauce arrived as soon, and promptly as our drinks, our order was taken. Then we ordered guacamole to share with the chips. It took about 5 minutes, having been freshly made, and well worth the short wait. The main order arrived about 10 minutes later, and was good. The waiter was personable, and engaging without being overbearing. When I told him the guacamole was, in my opinion, excellent and asked him to complement the maker, he told us that he had made it. I told him that my sons love to cook, and making guacamole was one of the most popular recipes they make, and while their versions were an step above most restaurants, his rendition was at the next level. He then requested that I bring my sons by, and he would teach them the restaurant's version. The food is good, with the guacamole being the star. Even if you're not a fan of guacamole, which might mean you like your steak well done, someone in your party will, give this place a go. Try your friend's guacamole. Just one chip.

Portions are good service is satisfactory. Polite though. But the food was extremely salty. Burgers, steak burritos etc. Much too salty. That being said, a little pricey compared to other places in town that are tastier. The little after dinner treat was a nice change however. And we really liked that.

Service was excellent, food was great, price was actually rather low as well, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, I'd definitely recommend the fresh guacamole to anyone who's interested. They make it right at your table, and it's *AMAZING*. All in all it was an excellent experience. I'll definitely be going back to try out everything.

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Food was great I’ll admit that. Everything was great except our waiter he suck. I see discrimination every time we go to Mexican restaurants when my wife speaks to them in English since she can’t speak Spanish even tho she is Hispanic decent anyway until we saw our bill. Guy messed up on bringing 5 orchatas instead of 4. He left it on the table and didn’t take it with him. Brought my kid a chocolate milk and ask for a refill for my wife since orchatas are not refill free. This is where it gets worse. After we ask for the bill the receipt mentions a service fee of 18% already included and on the bottom asking for tip and total. It’s 2 adults, my kid and my 2 younger teen siblings eating there. We ask why the service fee and waiter says it’s included for a table of 5+ so my wife demands where in the menu says so? Waiter can’t find it and his excuse “we recently change our menus so it was NOT included on our new menu” they did refunded the service fee and 1 drink. Still horrible service. I don’t mind tipping 20% or 25% since I can afford it. But they tried to screw me up with their service fee plus a tip...
