I seen this place mentioned on The Scottish Coeliacs page. I messaged them to make sure they had gluten free cake. The messaged me back within five minutes. Cake and coffee was lovely, I had the choice of three! They girls were very knowledgeable about what items were gluten free. The views are fabulous, right on the sea shore. Will be back for gluten free burger and chips very soon. 😎
Was along today for food with some family I was really pleased with how welcoming the staff are and how they are really there to help they had high chairs for my granddaughter and a lovely kids platter that she loved! The food was ace 5** will definitely be a returning customer
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sands, A Place By The Sea in Aberdour and I must say it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with the most warm and welcoming service by Laura and her amazing Team. Their genuine smiles and their attention and smiles immediately made me feel valued as a visitor.
The highlight of my visit was the recommendation to try their strawberry tart with my coffee. It was absolutely spot on! Each bite was pure bliss. It was more than just a dessert; it became a catalyst for relaxation and a reminder to savour life's simple pleasures.
What sets Sands apart is not only their exceptional views and service but also their dedication. The experience helped to reduce my concerns at this time and created a perfect escape from my challenges.
Sands, A Place By The Sea, will become my go-to, and I highly recommend it to anyone in need to escape from the stresses of life. Whether you seek a peaceful stroll along the beach or just experience the hospitality and good food and coffee, you will find solace in this special place.
In conclusion, my experience at Sands, guided by Laura and her incredible Team, was nothing short of breath of fresh air. Their warm and welcoming service, great recommendations like the strawberry tart, and commitment to creating a place of relaxation make Sands a truly remarkable destination. I hope that others will discover this gem and find the same warmth, care, and tranquillity that I did during my visit. I have only one regret, that I didn't ask the names of more of the Team, but I do know I'll be back again whilst here in Aberdour.
Their full Scottish breakfast is great value for money and you can’t beat the great views with tables right on the beach. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly and I can see why this is such a local favourite!
I absolutely love this place like staff is so friendly it's unbelievable the whole atmosphere is amazing felt so welcoming and the view is beautiful thank u for for making me feel special
I had amazing loaded wedges today. We were sitting outside and they were hot till the last bit. No, I didn't eat fast😂The service was excellent and they were very busy. Lovely place and really made my day. We will be back soon x
Comfort food and great hospitality at the seaside. Lovely place to spend a few hours for lunch or a tea with delicious cake in Aberdour. The staff is super friendly and considerate as they always seat you and make small talk. The decor is simple, the food full of flavor. We were lucky our altered Five Coastal Path hike brought us past the café twice so we could enjoy lunch and another pastry on day two after having tea there on our arrival day.
Excellent place, a hidden gem. Good food with amazing views across the Forth towards Edinburgh and Arthur's Seat.
The food was good with good choice in the menu to suit the pickiest of eaters.
Service was friendly and efficient, and dog friendly to boot.
My family and I had brunch at Sands this past Sunday. What a wonderful find! We hadn't even reached to open the door and one of the friendly waiters were there to welcome us in. The food was great, especially the full breakfast, what great value for money! They were most obliging in changing the egg for another hash brown. And their 'Specials board' offered even more options to the menu. Everything was fresh, tasted great and plated lovely too! The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. The disabled parking is right at the door and they have suitable accessible toilet facilities too, with easy wheelchair access to the open patio area which was nice. The fantastic view of the Firth of Forth is an added bonus! We'll certainly be back!
We got a lovely sunny day and enjoyed delicious food sitting outside. Service was excellent and we'll definitely return again soon.
Fabulous place, really tasty food, fast and friendly service, and a view to remember. Will definitely return.
Lovely wee place to stop for a cuppa, cake and a sandwich. Great views. Food was really nice and well priced. Staff are also really nice. Ill be returning for some of their home made cheese cakes. They looked amazing
