The venue is nice.
The steak for two was absolutely superb. And very good value for money at £25 / head (excluding the pepper sauce that is 😉) …
I come here a lot. This is a great pub, thank you to Grace who always goes above and beyond. Tonight she sorted out an old classic for me that isn’t on the menu any more. Thanks again to the best bar maid in Oxfordshire.
Midweek lunch was quite quiet. Which is good for service! The menu has a varied selection but not many choices. The food was unfussy, hot and very tasty.

Outstanding food with a wide variety to chose from, Ben (a member of staff) had remembered our faces and offered us frozen glasses to have on a hot day. As little as this may be, it made all the difference. Over all, a warm and welcoming British pub nestled in a quiet and beautiful village. I highly recommend.
