Bay Leaf Lounge

We were visitors to Alnwick this week, staying at the Hallow and Crux, and were looking for a Monday night curry. Quick search found this restaurant, and booked a table over the phone. On arrival the restaurant was quiet, we were first table at 1900 hours..however the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, chatted away and made us feel very welcome. Good comprehensive menu and I would say very reasonable pricing for a sit in meal. Food arrived in good time and was,excellent, hot, very good food. We asked for a soft drink, which they had ran out of and the manager ran across the road to get it in a shop for us.. that was above and beyond. Very good overall. Would definitely go back. But remember to leave the lemon out next time!!

Simply Fabulous Bengali Restaurant :0) We had veg starters and fish main course, chapattis and paratha and everything was just gorgeous. The highest compliment I can pay is this tasted like home cooked (Apna style) food. Nothing super fancy but just really, REALLY tasty (the way food should be). We chatted to the owner and staff ( who were just so friendly) for ages after our meal and the whole experience made us feel really special. If you're in Alnwick and want some great value, really tasty food, made as if it was cooked for a big family meal: head here!

Fantastic Indian takeaway and restaurant. First experience we ordered dinner for the family online. Prices were great and despite the long drive and rural nature of where we stayed, the dinner arrived hot. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered a takeaway for collection later in the week. Lovely and caring staff made you feel welcomed. Food very tasty again and cooked to order. Would definitely recommend.

Restaurant was full when we arrived, but we were seated quickly and the service could not be faulted. The staff were lovely and chatty and seemed to be enjoying themselves. The food could not be faulted. Had a mango vegetable curry and it was delicious. Would recommend booking as they seem quite busy like everywhere did in Alnwick on a Tuesday night. Don't let the outside put you off.
