The Porterhous

Mouth watering steak perfectly cooked and so tender. The tempura prawns were also delicious. A wide selection of gins, wines and liqueurs available with detailed descriptions and ideal pairing with tonic or alternative. Will definitely be going back. Service was very good and the staff were attentive. Looking forward to booking a follow up reservation.

I wish I had discovered this place sooner. I finally went to The Porterhous on 04/08/2020 for the first time after driving past it many, many times. What a great little place ! Both my husband and I were very impressed with the whole experience. The food was absolutely delicious, seasoning and spices were spot on and the portions were very generous. In fact, I decided I would most certainly visit again before I had even finished my starter. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a cut of steak I hadn't heard of before on the menu, however the server who took the order made me feel so comfortable that I had no hesitation in asking what it was. She took the trouble of asking the chef exactly what it was and then came and told me. I had the salt and pepper shredded chicken strips, followed by the rump steak. I can highly recommend both dishes. The only fault I could find about the whole night was that I was too full for any pudding. Maybe next time. This was one of those occasions were my husband and I just liked everything about the place, even down to having very nice glasses for our drinks. Very highly recommended and no hesitation in giving 5 stars.

What a little Gem, first time we had tried the restaurant last night and we were not disappointed at all, the food was excellent, service and staff very attentive and friendly with a great selection of drinks, try the Gin menu highly recommended. Eraly bird menu fantastic value.... Keep up the great work and we for sure will be back soon...
