Went for Breakfast after looking at reviews on TA. only word to describe the food 'yum!' loving clean place. very friendly staff prices acceptable for where you are! We had the Granola pot which was definitely the best granola i've had with thick greek yoghurt, nuts, berry compote and honey - lovely big serving .. oh! and fresh strawberry. was absolutely gorgeous - came in a lovely presentation pot. partner had the ciabatta breakfast roll, bacon, sausage and Egg and he'd have eaten it all over again. Great place. we managed to get a parking space just outside and because the service was quick our 1 hr time slot free of charge was perfect. thanks to the Copper Pot Cafe for a beautiful breakfast :) xx

The service and food was great, we had a great experience. I ordered the Hot beef ciabatta and my partner had a cod burger, would recommend both dishes.

Cosy interior, lots of original cake choices and best of all when i asked for a hot chocolate I opted for one of the unusual options rather than the normal and it was delicious.

Friendly Family run cafe with super home cooked meals. The big breakfast is fab. The selection of burgers for lunch looked great too.

Called in for lunch. Delicious food in a nice cosy little cafe - loved it and will definitely return. We ate chilli chips and a ham and cheese toasted sandwich - both fantastic. Staff were very nice and the decor is cool. Stands out from the crowd!

I came here with my husband after we read the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. I ordered a blueberry scone with cream and jam. This was very nice and fresh. This is what the stars are for. My husband had the full cooked English breakfast. This was average at best. He doesn’t eat eggs or mushrooms so asked if it would be possible to swap for something else like toast etc. We were told no and that we would have to pay extra despite not having these 2 items. I thought that for a breakfast costing just short of £9 they could have offered some toast or something which would have cost them pennies. Many other places do offer a swap. My husband asked for his black pudding to be well done. When the breakfast came he said it was underdone and cold. The tomatoes were also undercooked and cold too. The bacon was far too salty and cold. The toast was cold and the butter was rock hard. The breakfast came super fast and we wondered if maybe it had all been precooked and left to sit there. The actual restaurant itself was lovely inside with a cosy fire too. Overall, our experience today was very underwhelming and with all the other choices around, we won’t rush back any time soon.

We popped into the Copper Pot for a hot drink on a very chilly December day when we were Christmas shopping. We'd not long had lunch so, although the cakes and other delights looked scrumptious we were too full to try anything. We did however have one of their delicious hot chocolates - made from real cocoa (we opted for the 70%) and it was absolutely heavenly. We will definitely be back when we are next in Ambleside.

We were here almost 2 years ago around Easter and popped in for lunch. It was fantastic and clearly memorable given that we chose to pop in again during our few hours in Ambleside this December. The coffee is great, food is fresh and delicious. I had the chilli (tasty & spicy) and he had the fish finger ciabatta -equally delish I’m told. The Berry Bellini looked awesome but I managed to restrain myself. Next time...:) Lovely atmosphere and very welcoming place - I can’t recommend it enough!

The breakfasts that we had this morning have to be up there with the best I’ve ever eaten, the porridge with all the trimmings was so tasty, and whoooaaa the breakfast ciabatta was unreal, so much flavour and followed by a cracking cappuccino.

Popped in for a hot drink on a cold, wet morning and we were all delighted with our hot chocs! Best one I can remember in a very long while... thank you 😊

We visited on a rainy afternoon for lunch. The food was delightful and very friendly. Laid back and nice hot fire. Definitely return if we were in the area.

We discovered the Copper Pot around 18months ago on a visit to Ambleside, and now eat there every time we visit out daughter who is studying at the University. The staff are friendly, the service efficient and the food is great. Homemade soups, meals and salads and cakes to die for - all with a "healthy" feel and some little twist of ingredient. One complaint - can get busy, so can't always get a table!

Great cafe, very welcoming and friendly team, serving delicious food, we had warm goats cheese salad and wild boar burger - followed by a very tasty home made cake. Having visited Ambleside for many years - this is definitely the best and our favourite cafe

Really lovely and warm cafe, the staff here were extremely welcoming and even got our puppy a bowl of water. One of the rooms had a real fire which was lovely on the cold day. The food and drinks were great quality and very yummy. We’ll definitely come back here on our next visit, highly rated!

We found the Copper Pot cafe via Trip advisor and had to go not only for their great reviews but also our dog is called Copper! The food does not disappoint and was enjoyed at the top of the mountain next to lake Rydal. The brownie and cake were demolished before any photos could be taken - sorry! Great service, friendly and helpful staff who wrapped our lunch up delicately for it's assent!

As visitors to the lake district and on one of our day trips, we stopped in Ambleside. Well, as my family kept saying, Wow, wow, wow!!!... The food was excellent, tasty and the presentation on point. It was my day to select our lunchtime dining option, and as we strolled the street, this cafe caught my eye and seemed to draw me in. The venue has a simple decor ( we all sat out back on the patio). We had been warmly greeted by the family owners. I do love family-run establishments, and this one did not disappoint. If you are ever in Ambleside whether it be around Breakfast time or lunchtime I can 100% recommend this warm and friendly restaurant/ cafe

Great place, lovely friendly staff who were very welcoming. Cake selection was varied, we went for a chocolate and hazelnut cake and couldn’t have been more happier with the choice up there as one of the bests we’ve had. I picked the iced latte with caramel syrup and my husband went for a cappuccino both enjoyed our drinks. Would definitely recommenced and can’t wait to come back in future!

Having been out early on a photo shoot, I had missed breakfast at my B & B, but they recommended that I eat at the Copper Pot Café. I can imagine that this café gets very busy, and is hugely popular with tourists and locals alike! I enjoyed a marvellous breakfast. I ordered the Lake District Large 'Un, which came with streaky bacon. I have to say that the four rashers of bacon were amongst the nicest bacon I have tasted anywhere! Lovely layout, cosy and comfortable, and there was even a projector showing silent black 'n' white movies on the wall, Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin which was a nice nostalgic touch. Loved it!!
