Big spacious fish and chip shop located in a very accessible road, you can eat in or take away. The food was fresh and delicious… the curry sauce was delicious… prices are affordable. The service was nice and polite. You can pay with card or cash.
I was filled with trepidation after reading the reviews but the food was just fine. Please remember it's a fish and chip shop nowhere near the coast, it will not beat your local and it may seem slightly pricey. We went just before 6pm to beat any rush. Happy to wait 15mins for freshly cooked fish. They will also charge 40p per bag so take your own if that's a concern.
We found this by accident after parking up and walking through the parky. Locals and tourists using this chippy, which is always a good sign, when you see locals eat there. Clean and bright inside, with a couple of tables to sit at, or take out and enjoy the sunshine. Lovely fresh cooked chips, not too greasy, friendly staff, brilliant menu choice and a good price.
Dropped in just after 7pm for takeaway. All quite satisfactory, just a shame no pies! So get there early out of season!
Had fish and chips and it was good. The place is clean and the service is decent.
Best fish and chips I've had for years.
Lovely curry sauce 😋
Was initially hesitant to try this Fish and Chip bar after reading the reviews. Somehow, we decided to give it a try. It turns out that this may be one of the best fish and chips we have tried. The serving was generous and the amount of flour coating the fish was done well (tried some in London City which was too thick and oily, and after those few tries, have been avoiding fish and chip in London.). Plus, the price is really reasonable. So if you are looking for a good affordable meal, do give this outlet a try :)
Had fish and chips here Tuesday, and can find little to complain about.
The fish was tasty, the batter thin, crispy and nicely cooked, and the chips were plentiful and tasty.
Yes, we had to wait 10 minutes or so, but so what? Our meals were freshly cooked.
Fish and chips cost £11.00 per portion, in no way excessive, and certainly not in a town where one can pay over a tenner for a ham sandwich!
I'd get f&c here again, definitely.
No idea if it was because we'd had a full day in the mountains but the fish and chips at the end of the day we're fantastic. Fully recommend.
I start with my negative, it's a little pricey I think personally. That's it for a negative. Chips very big and crispy with a wonderful taste. Portion size was good. I sat in with my daughter. Could do with more seats but it isn't that big inside to begin with, I can imagine this been really busy in peak season. Owners were nice and gave good service. Bit of a misunderstanding of accents on both sides, I'm from the north east which most people don't fully understand. I enjoyed my child though and that's the whole point.
