Good spot for lunch, we went when it was quiet. Food was nice but a little limited for vegetarians for a simple lunch. Dog friendly. Easy to find and park.

Really exceptional food, good service and a cosy atmosphere. This was our second visit so our expectations on arrival were high, and met in every respect. We’ll be back.

Only not a 5 star for atmosphere as it was a weekday late lunchtime so very quiet. Lovey old pub with nice conservatory area for dining. Food was ace they have huts outside with log burners so probably great for colder days.

Wow. This place is really special.
Had heard about it : decided that for pal's annual lunch it may be place. Usually we go up to London. It is a little off the beaten track, but travel cost wise less than going to the smoke.
And what the right decision. It appears an unassuming pub. However; level of service, right from the off, akin to that at 'proper fancy restaurants' ; just more relaxed.
And as to the food: well. I never thought I would be rendered speechless by the taste of mashed potato!

The Crown Inn, Upton is set in a beautiful Hamlet/location - with ample parking. The food is always delicious. And the cocktails are amazing. The service is always excellent. The menu caters for all; reasonably priced too. Both myself and my husband celebrated our wedding anniversary more recently and couldn't have been more happy. We were made to feel special. Observing other customers also, they were made to feel as equally welcome too. Many people were ordering cocktails, which was very nice to see - the cocktails were exceptional! Thankyou so much to Dave, Theo & Kayleigh and the team. See you again soon.

Dropped in as passing by and bowled over by a really varied and extensive menu, great service from the charming proprietor and attention to detail inside and out. Particularly enjoyed their unusual version of affogato! 👍

Absolutely stunning. We just had the 5 course tasting menu, left comfortably full with a memory that will last of amazing food in a delightfully warm yet understated environment.
Genuinely one of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had.
Simple food made into an elegant meal.

Me and the other half visited as a late last minute valentines treat, and wow, it didn’t disappoint! Service was great, food was incredible and the drinks flowed! Everything was homemade too!! Such a great evening in a fantastic venue. We will be back!

Spent a few hours here on New Years Eve and it was everything one could wish for in an English pub. Warm fire, soft sofas, tremendous ale ( named pigswill) and a brilliant member of staff who made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed it so much we booked for the New Years Day brunch which was delicious and served cheerfully by the great staff. The pub is a gem and truly one of the best I have been in. Thank you to the staff for making our visits so wonderful.
