We ate here last night and it was delicious. We started with deep fried Brie with cranberry sauce, steaks for main (cooked to perfection) and 1 crumble with custard and one cheese board for dessert.
The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu and the steaks were better than some well known steak houses we’ve visited. It’s clear that even the steak sauces are homemade.
Will definitely visit again if we come back to the area.
Stopped here Sunday on a bike ride it was lovely. The bar staff were very friendly and polite. Everything was clean. I sat outside lots of flower baskets very nice atmosphere!! A perfect pit stop for a bike ride🚴🚴
Lovely sunny beer garden and I had pie and mash which was lovely! My husband had the burger 🍔 lovely sitting area in the conservatory.
I've had many a drink in the beer garden too and I love it here.
Great pub lunch the other day. Great range of food on the menu with specials too.
The ploughman's looked amazing vut opted for the ham egg and chips and didn't want for more!!! Generous portion.
Friendly atmosphere made to feel at home right away.

Stayed overnight in my campervan excellent night sleep very quiet.
Went to the pub and had a very good meal and drinks.
Large menu also has a large variety of beers and lagers.
It has a very large beer garden and childrens play area. Nothing could be better on a nice evening.
The restaurant and bar staff were very pleasant and eager to please.
Will return when next in the area.
Great place, good pub grub - especially the sticky toffee pudding 😉, amazing staff and atmosphere... All that you need x. Also a wonderful array of spotted cows - many of which have been given to them by their lovely customers 😂🐮😘
Stopped in for a lunch whilst in the area. Had the cheese ploughmans. This had plenty of cheese, three generous portions of cheddar, brie, and stilton which was a great surprise (recently in other pubs, only cheddar is offered). Plenty of pickle too and the bread nice and fresh.
Nice shady garden, dog friendly, and staff were plesant and helpful.

Alway welcome when we've been on dig walks and stopped for coffee or cold drink so we decided to stop today and have lunch. So pleased we did as the food was fantastic, homemade Stilton and ale beef pie, just what was needed. Staff were amazing too
Food was good big portions...i had ploughmans and so much chesse...but good value....we sat inside but it felt more like a cafe not a pub...think it needed to be more rustic..but nice place
