This is such a lovely pub. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food is great quality and served hot and fresh. The Real Ale is always in good condition and delicious. The venue is especially warm and cosy in Winter. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or just a pint of Ale.
We stayed with our 18 month old and from start to end, the experience was outstanding. Our room was spacious, a large travel cot was provided and the staff were very flexible with anything we needed. There is also a field behind the pub for the kids to play in. The breakfast and evening meal were also lovely! Can't recommend enough, we'll be staying again next year. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable!
Got a very pleasant welcome from staff here Saturday lunchtime just for a couple of beers. 3 real ales. A very nice Long Man New Zealand pale ale. Staff chatty. Spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed my visit. Thank you.
Nice pub and restaurant. We went on a bank holiday Sunday (the coronation weekend) and it was busy but still had a few tables free.
Sunday lunch was very good, we had the roast lamb, but there was beef and pork as well. There were a few decent other dishes too for people that aren't into roast dinners. Giant yorkshire pudding was lovely. Puddings were very nice too.
Prices were slightly high, but service was quick and the food was hot and delicious, so we felt it was worth it.

Lovely local gastropub. The landlady couldn't have been better! She kept the kitchen open for us (they normally stop taking food orders at 8:30pm). The food was delicious. They have changing specials daily, but the regular menu is great. There was no attempt made to rush us. The door was locked behind us when we left!
Spontaneously booked a table in the restaurant here for lunch and it was fantastic! The staff are warm, welcoming and so fun and friendly. Feels luxurious without the pressure as the atmosphere is casual and quaint. Very clean and the food was just devine, would 100% return and recommend this place!

Great food in a lovely pub with superb service. We came for a birthday lunch and had a really warm welcome and a good choice of food and wine at very reasonable prices. Recommended!
