Have known this pub for 25 years and this was my first chance to visit since its refurbishment and my word it does not let you down. The food is great and the choice is well spread, so is the beer and the vine. Excellent value for money we left stuffed with a smile on our faces very friendly with good service.

My Mother in-law took us here for Sunday dinner . Joe who served us was amazing great customer service he gave us recommendations and his choices were fantastic . The staff here were so friendly . Very clean and wonderful atmosphere. Prices were bang on you get what you pay for. Portions are amazing!. Thank you to all at the Black Lion for a wonderful experience. Appledor Is a wonderful village . A must see

Had a fantastic boozy lunch here. With beautiful bar bites and cocktails to wash it down with. Would highly recommend a visit polite and attentive staff and relaxed atmosphere.
