We stayed this weekend in the Shepherd huts at the back of the pub. It was the annual beer festival. We have had such a good time! The huts are delightful with all the creature comforts of home:- comfy double bed, underfloor heating, toilet and heavenly hot showers! Just what was needed on rainy, windy weekend. The pub itself is a little gem with it's open fires, gas lights and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Great food, great staff, this place really does have it all and I can't wait to come back!
Came here for lunch today after a visit to Bolton Abbey for my birthday. Food was fabulous! I had the fish finger sandwich, and the other half had the steak and ale pie, which was to die for! And to top it all off the sticky toffee pud is a sinful delight! Will definitely be visiting this little slice of Yorkshire again!
Really quick and friendly service. Food is delicious. I especially liked the prawn katsu which kind of like a prawn croquette. The Sunday roast beef is one of best I had at a pub, wish theres more on the plate which was filled up with a huge Yorkshire pudding and veg. Chocolate brownie is warm n rich, served with roasted marshmallows and ice cream. Best was the view while enjoying our meal outdoors. Place got packed within 30minutes of opening.
Without doubt the best pub in the Dales, if not Britain. Characterful everywhere from the open fires to the snugs and stone floors. The beer range is excellent, including Old Peculiar from the wood, and this weekend's beer festival saw over 20 Yorkshire and Northumberland ales on hand pull. Superb
I completely recommend this pub, lovely atmosphere, great location and welcoming staff. The roast beef was cooked nicely a generous portion. Also a good selection of drinks.
This is a beautiful old worldly pub in a stunning location. We stopped in a couple of times while out walking. Next time, we will definitely try the food. The menu looked good to me and the staff were very friendly.
What a place - fantastic. We stopped in for a drink after a walk. The pub is perfectly situated if you enjoy a hike, as there are plenty of local routes to choose from. We popped in on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy with roast dinners being served, but despite having plenty of other customers the service at the bar was swift. Would recommend.
We went to Parceval Hall and then called in on our way back. It was a beautiful day. We'd never been before to the pub. It's in a glorious setting with fabulous views, plenty of seating outside, to the rear and to the front and even across the road. Fabulous place we will definitely return!
Lovely cosy pub. Super popular so booking is pretty much essential.
Great roast dinner on Sunday - only one option on offer. Take it or leave it.
Yummy desserts well worth staying for.
Speedy and efficient service. Would love to have a pub like this on my doorstep.
Had lunch here today as we are staying at campsite close by. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff who cooked sausages for our dogs who were made very welcome. Food was lovely and freshly cooked. Hoping to visit again before we go home.
We were staying at a campsite close by took a walk hoping to get Sunday lunch, sadly they were fully booked, so we booked a table for tea. Loved everything about this pub, the original features, the fact it was dog friendly, the staff were friendly and attentive. We were seated in the cruck barn and what an amazing space it was. We both had a burger for our mains and cheesecake for dessert, and can honestly say it's the best food we've had! The quality and taste of the food was superb 👌 highly recommend.
A truly world class pub sitting in the tranquil arms of Appletreewick... great food and atmosphere!
