The River Deck

My partner & I booked here for an Anniversary breakfast. I ordered a Veggie Stack and Iced Latte and my partner ordered a Big Breakfast and Long Black. The food was the highlight of the place and was incredible. Everything tasted delicious and fresh, my partner particularly loved the baked beans on their Big Breakfast. The service was faultless, we were served by a lovely young man who also made our drinks which were perfect as well. The price is pretty much on par with other restaurants for the same items. If available, I would choose to sit outside, we were the only ones outside on a nice summers day and being able to see the Swan River while eating was a nice touch. There is ample shade cloths provided so no worrying about that. The venue as a whole was very clean and had really gorgeous finishings, the walk to the toilet is a bit far from the outside tables but it gives you time to enjoy the finishings. I had never been to this place before but they've definitely created a loyal customer in me and I will be recommending them to others. We did book but there was only one other table present.

Arrived to enjoy a dinner before our family members departed to the eastern states. Ordered drinks using the app which seemed handy but waited 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Ordered the Crispy skinned pork belly for the main meal and it arrived In a timely fashion. The carrots were raw and unfortunately the Crispy skin pork belly was 70 percent fat and the skin was not Crispy. I try to support the Belmont businesses and shop local but when it charges top dollar and fails to deliver quality service and meals there is only so much you can take.

Great view and a nice dining setting, which I'm guessing is what you pay for as the food was greatly over priced for what we got. The main sometimes just larger then the entrees, but double the price. The interior is nice, but the feature atriums had mostly dead plants in them which takes a lot away from the lavish decor. Probably great for the guests of the hotel, and drinks with a view.

GREAT VALUE, BEAUTIFUL LOCATION We have been on a few occasions now to their Riverdeck Restaurant and outside dining / drinking area both located a the international on the water hotel, however we have never stayed at the hotel itself we have only eaten at the Riverdeck on different occasions for breakfast, lunch, dinner. I like the highly recommend the River Deck restaurant for value-for-money. The meals not huge and not arranged all fancy but very substantial and very very reasonably priced. They offer an a la carte menu and also sometimes a buffet. The latest visit we a group of 5 of us and we dined inside the River Deck Restaurant and had a full buffet dinner or $20 per person. Drinks of course are extra, but for $20 for a buffet dinner is exceptional value. The setting is beautiful and very picturesque outside on the Deck where you have a lovely atmosphere on the Swan River You can sit inside or outside depending on your preference. The customer service however is not so good on a few on our visits including our latesr. Some of the staff are not very friendly at all and don't even acknowledge you and some are just quite rude. Some however are very good but most unfortunately are not very good with being hospitable even though they're working in the hospitality industry. The service can also sometimes be very slow and you can be waiting a while to be served if you are needing a drink or wanting the a la carte menu. However if you have the buffet you just pawy when you enter and help yourself. I feel its a good place to go if you're wanting a decent meal at a very reasonable price.. Picturesque location right on the Swan River and so close to the airport and the City. You can pop in before or after a flight for a casual drink or meal....

Ordered our food and then asked how much longer it would be after 30 mins and the waitress didn't come back to tell us. I asked again after 40 mins and was ignored until I insisted that one of the staff members findout for us. I was told that our meals were being plated up. After another 5 mins without meals, I asked for a refund and the staff struggled working out how to do that including the manager. Very disappointing.
