I managed to beat my anxiety and I stopped by for a rainy day hot chocolate. The extra smarties were a happy treat! As we're the ladies serving. Great place to catch up with friends or for a business meeting. The building itself is beautiful with some stunning original features.
Been here around 5 times now and food has always been brilliant, service has been a little slow if they are busy but nothing to complain about and expected
We went for brunch and had a veg English breakfast and some deserts. It was delicious.
Also cozy atmosphere and a good price.
Sure we will return.
The chap who greeted us on arrival (I think he was the manager) was great. There was a delay for the food and it was very hot inside. We wanted to sit outside while we waited and he was more than happy to accommodate this. He came outside to notify us when the food was being plated and he held the table inside for us.
My wife wanted a Sunday roast and ideally wanted the beef but only the turkey came with stuffing which she was craving and so ordered that instead. When her meal arrived the stuffing was missing. The same gent was very helpful and got her a double helping to make up for the error. Great customer service.
My only criticism of The Fairfield Arms is the wait time for food. Almost every time I’ve been I have had to wait around an hour for food. Sometimes the pub doesn’t appear that busy but there is still a lengthy wait. This slow service puts me off visiting more frequently. The pub is probably the best in the area but the speed massively lets it down.
Lovely place. Went in on my lonesome but didn't feel awkward at all! Welcoming and lots of seating. Food was great too. Recommend.
It has been done up lovely the App is well worth down loading with free drink on it and loyalty card every time you visit there is an offer you can claim. Victoria the lady behind the bar was very very helpful patient and showed us how to use our app .and offers they have .very polite and service with a smile .the man sorry didn't get his name was also very nice and the staff who brought out our lovely food.we sat at front of pub but there also lovely area round the back it was very clean all over we definitely be calling again thank you
Booked last minute as had family surprise us with a visit, very accommodating and got us a table within thirty minutes of phoning. Food was good, lovely refurbishment done. The only negative ( the ladies toilets ) are soo small ! Very claustrophobic.
Some of the staff seemed very helpful ( I think the owner ) helped us use the app order service and was lovely ! Everyone enjoyed their meals, portion sizes were very good.
We was disappointed that there was much on the menu as they had had a fire in the kitchen so food was limited we wanted some things that was on the set menu but couldn’t have as it was evening the young man on the till was most helpful and did his best to sort things out for us but manager said he couldn’t help us.
The Food we did have was nice
Food was delicious. Good outdoor seating area. There's an option to order via an app, however the app was very slow for us and we had issue's with it. The staff were helpful working around this. I'd advise booking in advance as it was very busy when we went (Saturday evening, we had booked in advance) waiting time's for a table were an hour.
I liked Fairfield Arms already from outside, when we drove around and loved it so much that I had to come closer and also go inside.
I enjoyed my visit, nice Xmas decoration, atmosphere, dinner and drinks that I had to come also next day for a lunch during my stay in Manchester.
The food was amazing, tasty and very good looking on both days.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and make me feel very comfortable and welcome.
