I am still at the pub writing this review (that’s when you know it’s good).
I’ve just tried the vegan pizza with dairy-free cheese and can say, hands down, that it is the best pizza I’ve ever had.
Hats off to the chef for choosing and cooking such a great vegan cheese (because let’s be honest, most are horrendous �).
Will be spreading the word!!
Thanks you for making us feel so very welcome and relaxed! We all needed a great night out a d you certainly provided a fab location for us. The food was great. This is going to be our regular place for meeting up now. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you to all of the staff that went out of their way to make us feel welcome and ensure we were all happy and ok xx
Had a lovely roast chicken and roast beef meal here. It was a quiet day in the pub but really enjoyed food, roasts were yummy and then had a strawberry pastry with cream and chocolate. Very nice staff, had nice chat with the chef talking about sourcing local ingredients as much as possible. We were lucky to find it available as it's usually a much busier pub.
A friendly pub with a well stocked bar, constantly changing ales and an above average Guinness. Food is good and great value for money. Sunday roast is solid. Family friendly and very hospitable for dogs. A good quiz, weekly, on a Thursday night and a sun trap of a courtyard garden.
I don't know if I'm just easily pleased but this was truly lush! The day before I had gone to a restaurant in London and this home town pub smashed it out of the field (not sure if that's a metaphor 🤔).
We all had the roast belly pork and normally with a Sunday roast I find a few things on the plate just a little uninspiring. But not here, everything was great, even the veg, THE VEG!!

A good vibe/atmosphere and really friendly staff make this pub a great place to go.
The food was also good with something for everyone on the menu.
I'd say the only downside was that the food seemed ready prepared (pub tapas), however it still tasted good so I can't complain.
On our next visit we'll give the woodfire pizzas a go as they sounded nice!
Worth a visit! (Especially if you like ales too!).
We have just had the most amazing pub meal ever! We ate at a top London restaurant and this would beat that. Very friendly chef and staff. Darren is an amazing chef who took time to talk to us about his passion for food. Top quality, top staff, top service.

The sign outside saying it’s “probably the best roast in Aylesbury” is very accurate. Best proper roast in the area. The pub is clean, quiet and the staff are great.

Under brilliant new management, super friendly and welcoming staff, all homemade fresh food and the roasts are to die for! Great selection on drinks and bt/sky sports also! Looking forward to the summer and bringing the whole family along
