lovely pub, wonderful friendly staff - especially Zoe who I think our dog would have happily gone home with. Great selection of drinks and the food was excellent. Nicely spaced out tables - spotlessly clean and both us and our dog were made extremely welcome. thankyou to all. Denise Steve and Sully.

Stopped in here a couple of times at the weekend. One for lunch and another for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was great. Highlights being the Mac n Cheese and the full English breakfast. The only thing that was a tad disappointing was their black pudding which we had in the stack and also part of the breakfast. It was pretty bland tasting and didn't have great texture. A shame as the black pudding stack was a great dish that I'd not seen on a menu before. Overall though it's a great pub that I would recommend if visiting Bakewell.

A nice village pub atmosphere in the heart of the town. With a good choice of beers and wines and outside seating, which was great because it was super hot that day. We just stopped in for drinks, but the food looked good too.

Perfectly serviceable pub in the heart of Bakewell. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Two large portions of fish & chips were pretty much what you'd expect. Nice and crisp for both the fish batter and chips. Nice selection of beers. Everything was prompt and well done. Good place if you're in town.

Excellent service, I managed to grab the last fish pie 🥧 which was mega tasty, If you finish with the cheese 🧀 board, make sure you share. It's massive.😵‍💫

Came here with a whole group of friends after we did a Dark Peak race as a celebration! We also came to this same pub for lunch. Good: - Larger portion sizes here! Even the 8-pound sandwich was huge and made it super worth the price! I liked the tomato mozzarella sandwich the most. - The servers were really nice - solid apple cider too - Lots of seating so you can get a fairly large group together. Bad: - Took a while for our food to get there each time. - The food was okay, it wasn't the best I've had or the worst, it just wasn't superb - my fish pie for example just tasted like a large piece of mashed potato. Overall this was a really calming place, a relaxed environment, and a good place to catchup since it's not really loud. It also has good wifi and you can connect if you have the wifi password!

Second time we have been here whilst on holiday. Had lunch today - mozzarella and tomato sandwich and chicken and bacon club, both very nice. Crisps on the side which really aren't needed though as sandwich is plenty big enough. Staff nice and pub welcoming.

Nice pub with excellent food . Staff were busy doing multiple tasks so service was impersonal . It's a dog friendly pub . Overall I enjoyed my stay here . Would definitely be back .

🍽️ stopped for lunch at this restaurant pub looked super busy and had tables outside, headed in waiting to be seated unfortunately they don’t serve food outside which was a little disappointing as the weather was nice but we sat inside anyway. We ordered our food nachos, bacon and brie sandwich and halloumi fries two drinks and it came to £32 The food took a while to arrive as it was so busy but can’t fault what was served tasty and hot! Would recommend a visit here if your passing through Bakewell.
