A net refurbished hotel. High standard. Attentive staff. Breakfast options simple, cooked and presented well. Not all rooms have showers though so if you want one, ask.

Absolutely incredible! Had braised lamb shoulder on a bed vegetables. The lamb was slow roasted so deliciously tender. To top this off I had the apple and BlackBerry crumble with a side pot of caramel custard. The only fault here was I would have loved more custard was that good. Atmosphere very warm and friendly... we were not dressed up, but one could certainly if one chooses. Fabulously fabulous!

Lovely place to stay brilliant breakfast was all cook fresh and very tasty. Brilliant night sleep bedroom was very clean and comfortable.
Couldn't fault staff as they were all very welcoming.

Lovely room (though a bit hot). Very friendly staff and enjoyed my eggs Florentine for breakfast. Excellent location near the station (5 minute walk) was perfect for a stop off outside London with a short trip into the city the following day.

Fantastic English breakfast with good quality ingredients, staff friendly and attentive, coffee was excellent, ambience was spot on, Saturday morning was spent here listening to jazz, chilling out and taking advantage of the £7.50 breakfast deal which is excellent value for money. Highly recommended and will be returning! Awesome work guys and girls!

My brother held his wedding reception here... the staff were amazingly friendly, helpful and professional., excellent food and everyone enjoyed celebrating in this venue.
I stayed in one of their rooms, loved every second of being in there, comfy bed, excellent shower and it was elegantly decorated throughout.
Breakfast was delicious with a good selection.
The night before the wedding I tried the restaurant and again pure perfection.
Try it out... you won't regret it.

We had a very nice meal at The George for my sisters birthday, the staff were very attentive and the food was very nice. This isn't cheap so would recommend for when you're celebrating or going out for a special meal rather than when you cannot be bothered to cook!!

Clean, comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. If there in the evening, hope your lucky enough to get Martin as your bartender. Others good but he's wonderful! Lovely lovely cocktails.

By far the best restaurant in Baldock. Great local British cuisine in a nicely modernized Victorian era pub building. Recently opened their letting rooms. Overnight parking is tricky, but the rooms are fantastic. Views over the church grounds or the High Street. Wonderful breakfast for residents.
