One of the best fish and chips shop I have ever been to. Very well cooked fish and very yummy potatoes. Beautiful crispy butter and very good service.

A lot of fish and chips shops get the “best in the world/UK/county/town” status but The Mermaid really does live up to the billing. Everything was amazing. Only problem is the queues can also be immense, but worth the wait!

Friendly staff, massive chunky fish which tasted super fresh! Really lovely, very impressed. Will be back next time we are in Barmouth.

A trip down memory lane for me. We used to get our dinners there when holidaying 40 years ago, and the food was always good. It's nice to see that things haven't changed.
