A couple of years ago, I complained about the soggy batter and white soft chips. I was contacted by their head office and was sent a voucher which I never used because who wants to eat badly again?
HOWEVER, three months ago we decided to check if things had changed. Been back quite often since and it is now back to a great Fish and chip bar. Portions are good and tasty , plenty of nice brown dry chips that even have some crunch to them. Credit to the staff who have brought about this transformation and thanks for giving us our local Chappie again.

Great little chippy, good food and service and can help out with telephone orders. Only thing, a large chips has now been reduced in size which is a shame. Used to get large chips in a box so would be a great size for sharing or families but now portion size is smaller. Apart from that, a good little friendly local chippy.

Ordered large cod, medium cod, medium haddock, chips, onion rings, mushy peas.
Always had great service and good quality food, the same this time but ended up with 3 piece's of cod and all very similar size. Food was really good but not what we ordered.

Great food.. had to wait a while for my order though.. but was worth the wait.. hope they update there board for prices soon though as the prices on the board don't match the prices on the till and receipt.. (prices have gone up) but yer nice food and polite staff..

I want to personally thank a lovely blonde girl, who served and helped my 2 children today. My kids said you were really nice. I wish they caught your name. But next time I will be in with my kids. You don't find many young people being polite and patient to young kids

Local fish and chips made in the traditional way. Nice batter and chips. The pies are okay. My wife enjoys the burgers and the slush puppies!

Ordered pie and chips and a portion of pigs in blankets. Meal arrived on time and was piping hot. A really lovely portion of chips too, very few scraggy chips. Really delicious. Delivered with speed and politeness

Have been here in Brighton Hill numerous times in recent weeks and have gained a very good experience each time. Being celiac certain requirements are needed.

Me and my whole family visited the takeaway on last Friday and the food was the best we ever had after long long time. My wife and my kids really enjoyed every single piece of the food. Portion of the chips was huge and very tasty. The shop was full of customers but still i received great and very quick service. Definitely this is my favourite fish shop and i hope they will keep the top service forever. Thanks John and family.
