A perfect pub experience, well done team👏🏽👏🏽 We were welcomed and served by a tall young man who made good recommendations on the food. I took up the unusual suggestion of sea bass risotto and I'm so glad I did.
This was the best risotto I ever ate. The chefs did a fantastic job: the risotto was cooked perfectly with mussels that were soft and juicy, then topped with a delicious piece of sea bass.
My partner had fish and chips which were also 10/10. The mushy peas were really nice tasting and, let's be honest, peas aren't usually a stand out feature but these were as good as they get.
The atmosphere was lovely with lots of candles and fairy lights.
This is a real English pub absolutely looked the decor and the atmosphere. Nothing was to much trouble, we asked if we could have a window seat and that was no problem for the staff. My daughter asked if she could have extra gravy and again not a problem. Would definitely go back the only downside was they charge a service charge and this a pet hate of mine ! If I wish to to tip then it should be my decision not automatically put on my bill.

The vibe of the upper level hall is just incredible. We’ve only stopped for a lunch, but I was ready to arrange a wedding.
Service is very welcoming and professional. The food is of a very decent quality. I haven’t tried any wine, but beer selection is very good.
Beautiful pub, amazing atmosphere, super dog friendly and yummy food. They had a doggy station with plates, water, treats and poo bags. It was amazing! My only critique would be that the burger could be a bit more substantial, but it tasted really good, so, I was happy regardless.
Wonderful place to grab a flat white and lovely raspberry white chocolate muffin. Bar keep was super friendly and helpful.
So went there last week on thursday after a spa day as just happened to walk by and was the only bit of the town I encountered that had some life around 6:30, so we went in, it was fine english pub food, the guys who took our orders was very nice.
I had my wedding reception here on 19th August 23. The venue itself is stunning, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Jacob in particular was always on hand to help. The night was very special and I couldn’t have picked a better place to have it. I would definitely visit again and recommend them for venue hire! Really great team. Amazing atmosphere.

We both had roast pork and we were both in agreement that it was up there with the best we'd ever had.

All the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel like a valued customer
Though there is a bar downstairs, if you want to enjoy a meal it is advisable to reserve a table in advance
Went there for the Sunday roast last weekend. This pub had a beautiful dining room, excellent staff and delicious food. We had the lamb and beef roasts and loved every mouthful.
Fantastic and iconic pub in Bath. Nice history behind from long ago. The staff was super, very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty and well presented. It is also pets welcome pub!. Highly recommend of you visit the city.
