Church Gate Cafe

I'm not a fisherman but some poor planning on my part left me with my dog a bit too hot and a half hour walk ahead. They kindly gave him some water and pointed me in the right direction. Chaps in the really well presented store couldn't have been more accomodating and their kindness to a random stranger shows that this is certainly a business worth supporting.

Had our first 36 hrs on the bottom lake. AJ helped us get our gear to the swim and checked our rods were set up correctly. The lake and swim were amazing we had so much room to spread out. The place is kept so clean and tidy and the fish were hard fighters. Although you do pay a premium here it is worth it. This must be the best place ive ever fished, not to worry about getting gear to the swim, shop has everything you need and on site food, what more can you ask for. Amazing place well done gents cant wait for my next fishing venture there.

What can I say about Churchgate lake it’s more a 5 star fishery ,if I could give it 6 stars I would ,it’s for all the family to enjoy and a lovely place for the next generation to come and fish with dad and grandads ,some of the best looking fish I have seen. The high standards of fish care is above and beyond ,Jodi the fishery owner could not be more of a gentleman and top bloke in the way he runs the lakes very helpful and knows what it’s all about and keeps on top of things that is a sign of good management and the welfare of his fish and members. The team working at the lakes AJ , Jake and Bill are all top anglers very much on the ball and very helpful they put them self out to help all the members every day top blokes I can’t speak more highly of them. The lakes are a lovely peaceful place to fish at ,have a walk around and have a coffee it’s all about more than fishing at Churchgate lakes,come and have a look at the fully stocked tackle shop which is open to non members not just members. The food at the lakes is fantastic worth every penny cooked to perfection by Gemma and always delivered to your swim with a smile,what more could you ask for great fishing lovely food brilliant staff what a team. Top place ,top blokes best place I have fished in my 52 years of angling

Absolutely beautiful, with all the new swims, roadways it's mud free from start to finish, the fish are pristine, staff are polite & will help out were you need it & give you expert advice. Not forgetting a well stocked shop for all your fishing needs.Well done to Jodi & his team for a truly beautiful fishing complex 100%

Churchgate has transformed over the last year from a tired, drab fishery to a clean, tidy, modern, Mud Free and luxury venue with great access, more car parking and brand new custom built swims. All the lakes have been cleared of silver fish and any deformed or damaged fish have been retired to the house pond. Jodi has invested heavily in new big fish and making this an excellent establishment with great members. I am very proud of being a member here and with Electric and WiFi available it makes fishing an absolute luxury. Thank you Churchgate!
