The staff here are always friendly and helpful. The good is great, especially the breakfasts which are taste really nice and are a good size. There are a good number of tables which are clean. We visit regularly and recommend a visit for a bgood breakfast.
Stopped at the Little Chef Black Cat at about 1.30pm for lunch hoping that it would still be open having heard they are closing them very quickly since February 2017. Excellent food and service just like Little Chefs in days of old! The restaurant itself looked very clean and modern to me unlike another reviewer stating it looked worn out?! Toilets were also very clean. The lady at the payment till said they usually closed about 4pm each day depending how busy they were. I hope this one survives!
To be honest I wasn't expecting anything special but the table service and food was really very good. I had the scampi which was way better than some local pubs with perhaps more reputable names. The service was quick and friendly, I just wish I had some cash I could have tipped with. Instead I'll give a glowing review!
It's a Nice, Nice Little Chef. Comfortable, Cosy, welcoming, customer focussed and pleasant. The Olympic breakfast was very tasty. The staff are professional and polite. Probably the Best Little Chef I have been in. All little chefs are good. This one is Exceptional. My personal score 10/10.
A great place to take a break on the A1. Clean and bright, good menu choices and very pleasant staff. Not a 'Little Chef' anymore but it has all the same décor that I really liked about 'Little Chefs'. Loved the bird song playing in the loos!
Great Little Chef on the junction of A421 and A1 at the black cat roundabout. There is a petrol station on site too.

Very nice place to relax and have a coffee break. The bacon butty was excellent, better than the pancakes that were a bit stogy. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Very clean and bright restaurant.
Just had a superb Olympic Breakfast cooked by super chef Laura and served to me by super waitress Tabby !How Purrfect is that when im at the Black Cat Roundabout .The service was 1st Class ill be back as soon as recommend you do too 😊😊🇬🇧👮
Good food, now Eurogarages rather than Little Chef. Menu remains unchanged and the Olympic breakfast and black pudding was really good 👍
Food is nice and fresh, had a lovely breakfast and the staff were very friendly and smiling.
