Barnams Ice Cream

Had to go to the Lisburn Road and walked back into Belfast City Centre. We stopped here for a refuel and had a Bacon Bap each with a pot of tea for two. The bacon was superb and the baps fresh. There was at least 3 rashers in each bun and the tea was lovely too. They have customer toilets also a bonus for travellers like us. We would have no hesitation in going back.

I spent the evening driving around Belfast trying to find somewhere that would serve ice-cream, and luckily, last night around 22:15, Barnams in the Lisburn Road appeared opened. As I approached, I thought “they must be late closing tonight”. A man in the shop greeted me and despite usually closing at 22:00, he was happy to serve me. He was a very friendly man and spoke pleasantly. He told me that he had let the younger staff members get home, and was in no rush to get home so he was happy to serve late customers as he would only be watching Netflix anyway! He was a lovely man and the icecream was beautiful! My OH enjoyed the surprise too - so a big thank you for your good customer service, it made my night 😊

Great wee local place with very friendly and welcoming staff. I enjoy dropping in for a fry when I'm looking for somewhere to eat on the Lisburn road. The breakfast has always been great, at a very reasonable price, and served with a smile and a chat. The cake tastes as good as it looks. Highly recommended for treats or breakfast. Yum!
