Best Fish and Chips I've ever eaten! Both the fish and the chips were very crispy and the fish was still moist - delicious! Very friendly staff and generous portions as well.

Fantastic food and extremely friendly staff. Great to see a traditional fish & chip shop doing it right. Still can’t get over the size of cod. Couldn’t recommend this place enough for the Friday night chippy tea!

Best fish n chip I've had in a long time!!
I was working up around BT5 and fancied a nice fish and chip!! Quick Google search recommended Richies, so thought I'd give it a go!
All the staff seemed really plesent and acknowledged me, guy at the till very friendly too. Great chips and the battered fish excellent, batter crispy with Cod flaky!
I'll definitely try again!

Tasty chicken goujon supper with curry sauce. Crisp batter on the goujons and chips were nice and dry, not oily. Also we did not have any cash on us but were told we could still get food and to bring the money in another day. That doesn't happen in very many places so needed to highlight the very kind service here.

Amazing fish and chips. Crisp and non greasy. Very generous serving and the fish was so fresh and yummy. Definitely going back. I would highly recommend this family run business even if you don’t live in East Belfast, it’s worth the drive. 🥰

FANTASTIC fish and chips. Everything shatteringly crisp but still soft on the inside, not greasy at all😍 Offered me salt and vinegar on the fish and chips and gave me Ketchup when requested (which was delicious...is Irish Ketchup just better or was this homemade?) I am an American tourist and he was so funny and nice to me when I had a bit of a slip up and asked for something by the wrong name, then gave me a bottle of it for free! Such a nice guy. He made my afternoon. Such good prices too!! Only £11.42 for the fish and chips. Would recommend!! I took a 20 minute bus ride just to come here bc of the other reviews and it was well worth it!

Had a jumbo haddock and chips from here tonight. Yes it was maybe a couple of quid dearer than your average chippy but you're paying for portion size and quality. Not greasy at all, perfectly cooked chips and moist fish...and HUGE! See the photo beside my size 10 foot. Owner and staff are great craic too! :)
